The idea of old meets new were extracted from the brand’s identity, Pakwaan was established over ten years ago and the client want to introduce their first restaurant in a refreshing aesthetic.

Based on these elements, traditional Indian architectures’ forms are re-imagined and modernised, this is illustrated through the use of sleek, streamlined archway in the dining area to create ceiling feature that diffuse the lights and brighten up the area. This is contrasted by the retro-looking photographs hung on the walls, which are of the clients families.
